FIELD: cryogenics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cryogenic equipment, namely to devices for separation of multicomponent medium – natural formation gas. During separation, flow of multicomponent medium is imparted with acceleration and rotary motion by passing it through blades of conical auger installed in confuser part of channel. Rotary flow is directed through cylindrical section of profiled flow supply channel and provided for condensation in disperse multicomponent gas flow, after which gas expansion and separation of liquid fraction of heavy hydrocarbons in form of liquid drops into wall layer on periphery of nozzle separation channel, wherein separated gas is directed further along central part of channel, and liquid fraction of heavy hydrocarbons moving in wall layer is directed to annular gap of unit for extraction of drops and/or solid particles, after which accumulated liquid is removed from output cavity, wherein continuous circulation of a portion of the gas stream from the liquid fraction bleed channel to the cylindrical section of the profiled gas flow channel and providing fluid entrainment from the liquid fraction bleeder to the outlet branch pipe, preventing fluid shutoff in the aforesaid channel, wherein varying parameters of flow of multicomponent medium are provided in required specified limits by changing location in cylindrical part of channel of profiled central body.
EFFECT: invention can be used for separation of liquid fraction of hydrocarbon gases – propane and butane and heavier hydrocarbons C5+ from total flow of natural gas.
