FIELD: physical chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for low-temperature separation of the flow of a multicomponent medium. In the proposed method for separation of the flow of a multicomponent medium, during separation, the flow of a multicomponent medium is twisted and accelerated in the confusor section, after which it is passed through a critical section in which the speed is increased to sound values, then the said flow is fed into the diffuser section, in which a speed value above the speed of sound is provided, while condensation is organized in the flow of a multicomponent medium liquid fractions of propane, butane and heavier C5+ hydrocarbons provide its expansion. During separation, the flow of a multicomponent medium is fed into the input collector, from which it is directed into a profiled channel, the geometry of the flow part of which is selected based on the condition of ensuring the initial flow parameters, and the opening of the profiled channel is preliminarily carried out by turning the disk. In the profiled channel, the flow of a multicomponent medium is swirled and accelerated in the confusor section, and after the expansion of the said flow in the diffuser section, the separated liquid fraction is directed into the wall peripheral layer, and then into the annular cavity with part of the gas and then into the cavity of the discharge collector, from which it is taken through the condensate discharge pipe, while the separated gas flow is directed into the confusor-diffusor junction of the hollow cone, from where it is selected for further use through the discharge pipe.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of regulating the performance of the separator in a wide range when changing the initial operating parameters of a multicomponent medium.
