FIELD: automotive engineering. SUBSTANCE: rotary internal combustion engine has cylindrical casing with side cover plates. Interior of the casing accommodates cam-type rotor with shaped surfaces, L-shaped stops with control mechanisms, radial and end seals in the form of rings mating with the surface of the rotor and received in annular recesses of the casing. The end seal has two locks with radial projections and two sealing members in the form of disks with tapered surfaces, having a diameter substantially greater than the diameter of the interior of the casing, and engaging with the inner tapered surface of the rings. The rings have tapered split surfaces cooperating with radial projections of resilient lock members. The rotor has annular projections at the side surface to engage with inner cylindrical surface of the split ring. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency in operation. 3 dwg
