FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: first, resection is performed of the parts of the vertebral bodies located 10-12 mm higher and lower along the intervertebral foramen axis. 2 - 3 ml of 1% aqueous solution of the methylene blue is introduced into the anterior epidural space. The vertebral canal anterolateral wall is removed around the spinal membranes at a depth of 10 - 15 mm with a protecting chisel, moved between the dura mater spinalis and the vertebral body to be removed from an angle of 25 deg. to an angle of 70 deg. and another chisel. With the latter the posterior parts of the vertebral bodies are resected stage by stage. The graft is implanted into the intact anteromedial vertebral body parts. EFFECT: cut down time of restoration of spinal cord function, prevention of fibrosis processes in spinal membranes, and creation of favorable conditions for the formation of an osteal pulley of operated vertebral bodies.
