FIELD: construction. SUBSTANCE: adhesive substance is applied to sheets of a material, then sheets are piled in packets and joined together. A band is cut off the packet and stretched to produce a honeycomb beam having hexagonal cell shapes. The beam form is fixed. The sheets of a material are shaped by cutting a stepped stripe, which is produced of bands cut out of a rolled material along its whole length, overlapped and connected each to another. The adhesive substance is applied to the undersides of the bottom stepped strip bands along their longitudinal axis strictly opposite to the non-overlapped zone of the bands. Should the need arise, a transition is made from hexagonal cells through pentagonal cells to rectangular cells. Drainage holes are made in the stepped strip along the band overlap axis.
