FIELD: production of friction materials. SUBSTANCE: the friction polymeric composition comprises (wt parts): 100 phenol formaldehyde resin; 0.37-2.08 polydimethylsiloxane-polyethyleneoxide block polymer and 0.01-0.12 maleic acid; 2-6 static low-molecular butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer having end carboxyl groups: 0.5-1.0 low-molecular polybutadiene-polyacrylonitrile block copolymer having end carboxyl groups; 85-359 basalt fibers and 17-85 carbon fibers; 40-120 metallic filler; a mixture of powdery metal oxide and 24-134 a water insoluble salt from the group of sulfates or carbonates. This formulation of the composition provides high resistance of the material of products to lower friction efficiency at elevated temperatures and its rapid restoration after cooling to 100 C (the friction coefficient is 0.48), longer service life and greater reliability within the wide operating temperatures.
