FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: molten metal is dispersed in a flow of rarefied gas with continuous compression of resultant gas-metal mixture to atmospheric pressure to produce foam. The mixture compression time does not exceed dynamic relaxation time of dispersed molten metal particle form. Then foam flow static pressure is maintained equal to the atmospheric pressure until foam hardening. The resultant metal has a porosity factor up to 92%, pore dispersity of 2-3 mm. EFFECT: increased uniformity of metal; reduced production costs. 1 tbl
