FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises making the aluminium melt to be overheated to temperature exceeding that of liquidus and filling the mould with water-soluble salt pellets. Calcium or barium bromide or iodide is used as said salt. Aluminium melt is poured into the mould to fill cavities between pellets. After aluminium melt is solidified, article is withdrawn from the mould and placed in water. Salt dissolves in water to form pores corresponding to salt pellet dispersion.
EFFECT: higher quality, lower labor input.
