FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: solid carboniferous reducer is introduced both into molten metal and oxides melt while producing zinc sublimates, molten metal and oxides melt, with the ratio of reducers fed into oxides melt and molten metal maintained at (10-0.1):1, respectively. The reduction is carried out in the volume of the foamed oxides melt, with iron and zinc content in said melt maintained (in % by mass): at 10-25 and less than 0.3, respectively. Carbon content in molten metal is maintained at more than 1% (by mass). The melting is effected at 1200-1440 C. The mass ration SiO2/CaO is maintained in the oxides melt at 0.6-4.8, and carbon content in molten metal is maintained at 1-4% by mass . EFFECT: increased efficiency of the process. 4 cl, 3 tbl
