FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to processing of oxidized base nickel ores and aluminum-containing nonferrous metallurgy wastes via reduction smelting in electric furnace. Process according to invention comprises providing oxidized nickel ore, smelting and metallothermic reduction in electric furnace, skimming of slag, refinement of metal melt with fluxing additives, after which metal is tapped. As reducing material, aluminum-containing aluminum production waste is used in amount 5 to 30% of the weight of oxidized nickel ore.
EFFECT: avoided use of expensive ferrosilicium as fluxing additive substituted with less expensive aluminum-containing reducer.
