FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: base wedge of slide valve is preliminary manufactured. Then a body with branch pipes is assembled from composite pieces by welding. The wedge is manufactured from a semi-finished iron ingot, using a mechanism for wedges processing. The mechanism has a surface plate with a stop and two wedge type profiles fixed on it and spaced for size of the wedge. The body assembly is exercised with the help of a base wedge, fixed on the plate. A hole is made in the base wedge, through which a hinged tightening is inserted. The hinged tightening is made of hinged connected rods. One of the rods is made with a supporting rib, the other one has a fixing member. Rods are located along axis of branch pipes, placed at an angle of inclination of the base wedge. EFFECT: method is used for wedge type slide valve production. 4 dwg
