FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: seed and food potato is stockpiled loose at a height varying from 2.8 2.8± 0.1 0.1 m for the seed potato to 3.5 3.5± 0.1 0.1 m for the food one. At the curative intermediate and main period the potato is subjected to intense airing cycles. The curative and intermediate periods have the velocity of the air stream ranging from 0.16 to 0.18 m/s with its decreasing to 0.10 - 0.14 m/s at the main period. At the curative period the air has room temperature. At the intermediate period the air is smoothly cooled so that at the main period it is 2-4 C with the relative humidity fluctuating from 85 to 950 %. At storing the airing is effected with an intensity which optimum values can be calculated with the formula J = (v·K/H)·5540м3/т.ч. V - air velocity in means for intense airing (m/s); H - level of storing potato in bulk (m); K - porosity ratio with regard to the air flow resistance of the bulked potato. The seed potato with H = 2.8 m has K = 0.35. For the food potato with H=3.5 K = 0.4. EFFECT: reduced loss of potato, maintaining high quality of product.
