FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method involves drying tubers after harvesting; cooling to storage temperature and storing seed potato. Drying of tubers after harvesting is performed using outer air at ventilation intensity of 100 m3/hour/ton during 12-13 hours. Tubers are then held during 3-4 days at temperature of 20 C, air humidity of at least 95% and cyclic ventilation at the rate of 30 min, 4 times a day. Once a day, aqueous solution of aminoacetic acid - 3%-concentration glycine is used for wetting. Cooling of tubers is performed at cooling rate of 0.5 C per day. 10-12 days before unloading from storage, potato is heated-through to temperature of 10-12 C, with ventilation air and tuber temperature difference making 3 C.
EFFECT: reduced loss and decrease in weight of tubers during storage.
