FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: filter has a distributing chamber positioned in a body and parted by perforated walls into filtering sections, at least one of the sections has a flap made for rotation until the outlet hole is overlapped. While filtering the flap is located down the flow overlapping the outlet hole of a washing branch pipe. The contaminated water passing through wall perforations of the chamber is cleaned than sequential washing of the filtering surface of the sections begins, the sections are alternately positioned above the flap. The walls of the filtering sections rotating on a shaft act on the flap and deflect it until it takes the position in which it overlaps the outlet hole of the section and opens the inlet hole of the washing branch pipe. The water flow washes off the impurities from the filtering surfaces while the filtration is continued. EFFECT: reduced material usage and manufacture labour input. 2 cl, 5 dwg
