FIELD: water-borne seismic survey. SUBSTANCE: device has a housing consisting of cover and bottom, rod shutting off the exhaust ports and a movable member, that form the working chamber, start space and control chamber, solenoid-operated pneumatic valve connected to the start space through a channel, channels connecting both chambers and start space to the compressed air source; the movable member is made in the form of two concentric rings rigidly interconnected by a partition with ports. In addition it has a hollow sleeve fitted onto the hollow rod on a thread fit, being a rod extension, enveloped by the internal ring of the movable member and guide ring supports. Recesses in the sleeve and rod make up a space connected through the sleeve threaded joint with the rod with the compressed air supply channel. An annular bulge is made in the bottom that carries a dividing bush that separates the space located below the movable member into the control chamber space and compensation space for forming an auxiliary space in it. The working chamber is positioned between the cover and upper end face of the movable member and connected through a threaded joint of the bush with the rod and space with the compressed air supply channel. The start space is made between the cover and recess in the upper end face of the external ring of the movable member. The buffer space is formed by the recess in the lower end face of the internal ring of the movable member and the end face of the annular bulge in the bottom.
