FIELD: sea seismic prospecting. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has a lid 4 with connected to it electric pneumatic valve 5, body 1, inside of which main guide 2 is located. Guide 2 is embraced by movable cylinder 6. Auxiliary guide 25 is placed inside main guide 2. Auxiliary guide 25 has bottom 3 and loose conjugated with it spring-loaded piston 8. All of them form guiding chamber 10 with stopping cavity 11, supporting volume 13, compensation volume 15, working chamber 9, that are connected to each other and to outer cavity of high pressure by canals 18 and 19, windows 22 and connected with surrounding medium - by Laval nozzles 24 through release windows 23 in body 1. During operation compressed air is fed in accelerating chamber 21 through inlet canals 19. Movement of piston 6 is accompanied by pressure lowering in compensation volume 15 due to passage of the air through windows 22 into accelerating camber 21 cavity. As a result of it stepped piston 8, that compresses the air in working chamber 9, begins its movement. Windows 22 opening is accompanying by ejection of radial supersonic sprays of compressed air from working chamber. High kinematic energy of air stream cause emission of short time and intensive signal. Then cylinder 6 comes back to initial position.
