FIELD: water-borne seismic survey. SUBSTANCE: pneumatic source has a housing consisting of a cover and bottom, rod shutting off the exhaust ports and a movable member, that form the working chamber, start space and control chamber, solenoid-operated pneumatic valve connected to the start space through a channel, channels connecting both chambers and start space to the compressed air source; the movable member is made in the form of two concentric rings rigidly interconnected by a partition with ports. In addition it has a hollow sleeve fitted onto the hollow rod, being a rod extension to the bottom, enveloped by the internal ring of the movable member and guide ring supports. Located inside the sleeve is the pressure equalizing space connected through the ports in the sleeve to the control chamber formed between the recesses in the sleeve and internal ring of the movable member. The working chamber is formed by an annular recess in the cover and internal ring of the movable member, and the start space is formed by the sleeve, cover and end face of the internal ring of the movable member. The compensating chamber is formed by the inner walls of the movable member rings below the partition, bottom walls and sleeve external walls. The counterrecoil buffer chambers are located inside the compensating chamber and formed by the lower end bulge of the inner and/or external rings of the movable member and recesses of the shaped dividing bush fixed in height in the bottom part of the sleeve separating the reserve space from the compensating chamber. The counterrecoil buffer chamber is restricted by the annular bulges in the cover and upper end of the external and/or inner ring of the movable member, isolated from the working chamber by a seal. The internal bulge is provided with radial ports communicating the working chamber with the counterrecoil buffer chamber. The elastic-strained flange is made of pressed alternately arranged rings of elastic and stiff materials. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 4 cl, 4 dwg
