FIELD: seismic prospecting. SUBSTANCE: pneumatic source includes electropneumatic valve, system of radial sealing rings, case incorporating cover and bottom provided with two circular protrusions, guiding member in the form of bushing divided by partition into two parts. First part is connected by air nozzle to working chamber and/or space of electropneumatic valve. Second part is connected by joining unit to controlling chamber and is filled with antifriction material. Source also has mobile member shutting exhaust window fabricated in the form of concentric rings coupled rigidly. Inner ring has two circular supports embracing guiding member, working and controlling chambers and brake space. Bottom of case, its first circular protrusion, inner ring of mobile member and bushing form controlling chamber. Bottom of case, its second circular protrusion and lower butt of outer ring of mobile member form brake space. Ducts communicating working and controlling chamber to source of compressed air are made in cover and guiding member. EFFECT: improved efficiency of excitation of seismic signals. 9 cl, 4 dwg
