FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: gene of sugar beet yellow virus is obtained which can be used for construction of transgenic plants showing resistance to virus. Nucleotide sequence consisting of 688 nucleotide residues is determined. It contains 5′-noncoding region with start point for mRNA for capsid protein and translation opened frame encoding capsid protein containing 203 amino acid residues apart from N-terminal methionine which is removed after translation. EFFECT: preparing of gene indicated above.
