FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has a deforming member in the form of inductor including a housing with control winding and connected with current and frequency generator and a ring intermediate member located between the inductor and the article, and also a drive for the article displacement. The housing is made of magnetostrictive material and is mounted in the contact with the intermediate member. The drive for the article displacement is made as front and rear face stops mounted for reciprocal motion along the article axis. EFFECT: simpler design. 1 dwg
