FIELD: garbage reprocessing equipment. SUBSTANCE: garbage compaction device has piston of press with pressing board disposed in lower zone of garbage receiving chamber in housing of device. Piston is movable in horizontal plane to feed garbage into container adjoining garbage receiving chamber, with the latter being continuously filled. Blade with acute-angled edge is positioned on press piston for rotation about horizontal axis. Acute-angled edge grasps garbage from below part of garbage receiving chamber during return stroke of piston and may be pivoted upward about its axis at the end of return stroke of piston. As a result garbage grasped by blade is spilt in front of pressing board. EFFECT: increased efficiency by reduced wear and decreased downtime. 10 cl, 1 dwg
