SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a portioning machine (P) for dividing the flagellated product into separate portions, as well as to a method for controlling such a portioning machine (P). The portioning machine contains a rotary loading device (100) for receiving the flagellated product, a pressing unit (200) for compressing the flagellated product at least in its longitudinal direction and a portioning device cutting device (300) for portioning and separating individual portions from the flagellated product. The rotary loading device (100) has a main segment (110) and a rotary segment (120) having sections (112, 122) of the channel oriented coaxially to each other to form at least one receiving channel (150) for the flagellated product and with the possibility of their rotation around a common axis (A) for positioning at least one receiving channel (150) in the cutting position. The pressing unit (200) for compressing the flagellated product has at least one press piston and a counter-pressing element (222). The counter-pressing element (222) is located between the main segment (110) and the rotary segment (120) of the rotary loading device (100). The element (222) is designed with the possibility of its reversible movement to open or close the receiving channel (150) in the cutting position at least almost vertically to the axis (A) of rotation of the rotary loading device (100) between the open position and the closed position.
EFFECT: simplicity of design with the possibility of its more flexible use with lower management costs.
