SUBSTANCE: method involves simultaneous introduction and reception of ultrasonic pulses into loaded object and its analog, forming an algebraic sum of received signals, determining summary signal of relative difference of speeds for judging the magnitude of stresses with amplitude of summary signal used as a parameter. Besides, an algebraic difference of received signals is formed while relative change of speed is determined by the relation between summary and difference signals. Non-loaded analog of the object is constituted by the non-loaded area of the object proper.
