FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: testosterone level is determined in blood sample, children of early age with serious modes of acute infections being examined. If testosterone content is 2.0-1.8 nmol/l then decompensated mode of injury is diagnosed, if said index is 2.1-2.3 nmol/l or more then compensated mode is diagnosed. Accuracy of proposed method is 71%. EFFECT: increases accuracy of the method. 2 tbl
