SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely pediatrics, pulmonology and allergology, and can be used to predict the severe course of bronchial asthma in children. A method for predicting the severe course of bronchial asthma in children includes collecting anamnesis and laboratory blood testing. The anamnesis specifies the age of the onset of the disease, the frequency of acute respiratory infections in the first 3 years of life. In the blood serum, the level of endothelial vascular growth factor, the concentration of hydroxycholecalciferol are determined. Next, the prognostic coefficient Cpr (SBA) is calculated using the formula Cpr (SBA)=1/(1+e-(-2.437+0.027*VEGF-A-0.048*25(OH)D-0.346*D+2.687*ARI)), where Cpr (SBA) is the prognostic coefficient of severe bronchial asthma, VEGF-A is the level of endothelial vascular growth factor (pg/ml), 25(OH)D is the concentration of hydroxycholecalciferol (nmol/L), D is the age of onset of bronchial asthma (year), ARI is the frequency of acute respiratory infections in the first 3 years of life (once/month), e is the exponent =2.718. At the value of the prognostic coefficient of Cpr (SBA)>0.4 a severe course of bronchial asthma is predicted.

EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the accuracy of predicting the severe course of bronchial asthma in children.
