METHOD FOR CALIBRATION OF MICROWAVE POWER METER Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

Abstract RU 2020491 C1

FIELD: radio measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply to section formed by connection of feed-through and terminating power meters of microwave signal at frequencies of f1= fo+Δf1, f2= fo-Δf2, where values Δf1, Δf2 are selected from condition of variation of electric length of section relative to its value at frequency fo for value ranging from O to λw/2, where λw is wave length in section. In this case, microwave signal frequency is successively varied in section, periodically repeating sequence consisting of microwave signals of three said frequencies. Sequence repetition period should not exceed minimum time for power meter stable reading. Calibration coefficient is determined by relation of power meter reading. EFFECT: higher efficiency of calibration process.
