FIELD: medicine, particularly, surgery. SUBSTANCE: implant blank is made in the form of multilayer plate having curvilinear surface and composed of carbon consecutively interpenetrating cords which are filled up with pyrocarbon having variable density diminishing from plate center to its periphery and free outgoing ends of carbon cords unfilled with pyrocarbon. Principle of manufacturing implant blank resides in braiding network using cords woven with carbon threads by alternately interpassing cords one into another in between rods, leaving free ends in each braiding direction, making up frame from network, passing free ends of cords through cords in points of network folding, molding frame and saturating it with pyrolytic gaseous-phase carbon at temperature of 1,000 to 1,500 C, with stepping down its quantity from frame center to periphery.
