FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: briquets are made of dosed powders of boric anhydride, chromium sequioxide and black stirred thoroughly. The briquets are melted in electric oven. Then the obtained carbide block is crushed, and free carbon is removed by means of a gravitational-air method. Then further crushing is performed to a fraction of -0.5 to -0.2, and the obtained material is used to manufacture fused bands of general purpose. EFFECT: high-quality fusing material. 4 tbl
