FIELD: metal rolling. SUBSTANCE: safety-emptying device of a roll mill stand is installed between press aid and a chock of roll. A punch and body of the device form a cavity filled with material transmitting pressure. Destructible member made in the form of plate to be sheared is positioned in this cavity. The plate to be sheared is separated from working cavity by a holder. Cylinders to be seared are installed in holes of the holder. The cylinders and cylindrical passages made in the base of the holder are coaxial. The holder is made in the form of a plate of uniform thickness, and shearing cylinder height is equal to holder height. Several subsidiary cavities are made in the bottom of the body. Any cavity is communicated with working cavity through cylindrical opening and is separated from working cavity with one disk to be sheared being common for all subsidiary cavities. Diameters of the openings connecting subsidiary cavities with working cavity are the smaller, the closer their axes positions to axis of the press aid of the stand. EFFECT: device provides multiple operation, reduces length of stand outages in emergency, increases accuracy of operation, and ensures protection and process stress relaxation in operating stands of break-down mills. 5 cl, 7 dwg
