FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: for measuring magnetic permeability of material in open magnetic circuit creating constant heterogeneous magnetic field a rod is magnetized by constant magnetic field of a full ultimate-length solenoid, and the first value of effective permeability is measured. Then the rod is magnetized by the magnetic field of a part of the solenoid, and the second value of the effective permeability is measured. The value of the coefficient of the effective permeability variation slope is determined from the formula given in the description. EFFECT: enhanced measuring process. 6 dwg
