FIELD: chemical technology, inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: titanium tetrachloride, sulfuric acid and water taken at the molar ratio 1.0:(1.0-1.1): (1.0-1.1) are added simultaneously into reactor. Temperature is 18-25 C. Formed titanium sulfate is calcined firstly at 150-300 C up to chlorine-ion removal and then at 700-900 C. Yield of titanium dioxide is 96.0-98.0%.
