FIELD: laser technology. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in design of lasers for laser spectral analysis, diagnostics, photochemistry, fibre-optics, medicine. Neodymium-containing active element of pumping source of tunable laser is manufactured from crystal YA1O3:Nd3+ with length of generation wave of 1.08 μm for long-wave region of spectrum and from crystal YLiF4:Nd3+ with length of generation wave of 1.047 μm for short-wave and long-wave regions of spectrum. Change of length of wave of pumping source leads to change of populations of working energy laser-active F-2

centers of color and consequently to increased of spectral range. EFFECT: increased efficiency of spectral range of tunable laser. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
