FIELD: treatment of parts. SUBSTANCE: ceramic article 5 is placed into microwave field generated by generator 2 between electrodes 1. Under local effect of thermal pulse onto article made of ceramics the temperature of part of the surface increases, which results to local increase in electric conductivity. Absorption and dissipation of microwave field are improved at this part and temperature grows subsequently. Process terminates with local electric discharge and breakage of part of surface of article, marked by thermal pulse. EFFECT: improved efficiency. 4 cl, 1 dwg
