FIELD: medicine, particularly, thoracal surgery. SUBSTANCE: this method of surgically treating celomic cysts of pericardium prescribes surgically providing access to celomic cyst, removing cyst, suturing surgically managed wound. More specifically, this method prescribes making incision along abdomen center line from xiphoid process downwards with dissecting skin, subcutaneous fat and aponeurotic lamina of abdomen linea alba and obtusely moving apart fibers of diaphragm thoracic section, draining residual cavity via separate puncture-incision, after removal of cyst, and providing active aspiration in order to prevent relapse of cyst and formation of diaphragmatic hernia, eliminating diaphragmatic defect by making interrupted sutures, and fixing free lower edge of diaphragm by interrupted sutures to inner leaf of sheath of rectus abdominis both on right and left side from line of incision. EFFECT: lower rate of traumatism in surgically treating neoplasms in anterior mediastinum and smaller number of post-operative complications. 3 dwg
