FIELD: treatment of fluid slags in steel making formed during steel treatment in ladle or in converter. SUBSTANCE: method for treatment of slags in steel making includes formation of outflow of fluid slag through outlet in bottom part of bath or ladle, determination of instantaneous flow rate of slag by continuous monitoring of weight of bath or ladle together with contents. Directed onto flow of fluid slag flowing out of bath or ladle is one or several jets of granulation water whose flow rate is regulated depending on instantaneous flow rate of slag. Plant for realization of the method has bath or ladle with molten slag. Bath or ladle is provided with weighing means, outlet, device for closing outlet, means for manipulating the device between its working position and initial position aside the outlet, and device for freeing outlet by its pricking in case of its clogging to facilitate outflow of molten slag.
