FIELD: aluminium-lithium alloys waste utilization. SUBSTANCE: comminuted wastes (chips, small-size scrap) are mixed with potassium chloride. The mixture is chlorinated as a solid at a temperature below metal melting point. Then the mixture is heated up to metal melting point, and the melt is mixed up to forming liquid salt flux containing lithium chloride. EFFECT: increased efficiency of waste reprocessing by chlorination; lithium extraction from aluminium-lithium wastes into salt phase in the form of chloride with formation of salt mixture containing potassium and lithium chlorides. 1 tbl
