METHOD OF DETERMINATION OF TECHNICAL CONDITION OF TRANSMISSION OF MOTOR VEHICLE Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: diagnosis of technical condition of motor vehicles. SUBSTANCE: method of determination of technical condition of motor vehicle involves lifting of driving wheels off the ground, starting of engine, engagement of gear, driving of engine up to speed, recording of dependence of angular speed of driving wheels on time under condition of run-out and determination of average value of moment of mechanical losses for corresponding time period. Then value of rotational speed of crankshaft is measured by upshifting transmission and running it under steady operation of engine and disengagement of engine from transmission under steady state speed condition with setting of predetermined value of rotational speed and invariable positions of controls of engine engaging different gears in transmission. With stabilization of speed condition of engine in each gear speed of rotation of crankshaft is measured again, drop of rotational speed with reference to its predetermined value is found under operation of engine with disengaged transmission, obtained values are compared with standard ones by setting of optimum operating condition. Simultaneously with operation of engine with disengaged transmission change of rotational speed of crankshaft is measured under steady state speed condition by angle of its turn during one cycle of operation of engine, indicated power of engine is found and relationships of drop of rotational speed of engine crankshaft with engaged transmission under different gears with reference to its value during operation of engine with disengaged transmission to indicated power of engine is found. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of diagnosis.
