FIELD: testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diagnostic engineering and can be used to determine the technical condition of transmission units and engine parts without initialising the work process. The task herein is solved by the process of comprehensive diagnostics of the engine and transmission units of motor vehicles additionally including a 7-minute break to fully restore the battery, wherein said break time is used to perform an organoleptic overview of the transmission units in order to detect oil leaks, the security of fastening thereof is tested, and, if leakage points and violation of the fastening are detected, fault repair measures are taken, direct transmission is started in the gearbox, the starter is activated, the gaps in the units would then be selected alternately, the transmission scrolling resistance would increase rapidly, and the driving wheels of automobile car would begin to rotate, wherein an oscillogram of the sharply changing current consumed by the starter, characterising the total gap in the units, would be recorded and stored on the screen of the oscilloscopic apparatus; the resulting oscillography pattern is compared with the reference one, and a conclusion is made about the technical condition of the vehicle units, wherein the automobile is placed on a straight horizontal surface prior to diagnostic work so that the driving wheels are positioned on a roller conveyor.
EFFECT: expanded number of elements of motor vehicles suitable for diagnostics, ensured comprehensive monitoring of the technical condition of the engine and transmission units of the automobile, lower labour intensity and higher safety during diagnostic work, stages of starting and operating the engine eliminated from the diagnostic process.
