SUBSTANCE: the method consists of preheating the mould to a temperature ensuring a temperature gradient of at least 1 degree per centimeter of the mould height, filling the mould with molten metal, keeping the mould at a specified stabilizing temperature and ending with the heating up of the mould with the result that solidification is brought about while the casting is kept in the mould.
