FIELD: foundry; may be used in casting of large blades with unidirectional or single-crystal structure and provided with developed banding and locking flanges. SUBSTANCE: device has vacuum chamber which has furnace for heating ceramic molds, mold and cylindrical screen located round the casting coaxially to its vertical axis and fastened to mold upper part or to suspension. Screen may be made solid or in the form of a number of members with protruding flanges telescopically entering one another. Screen is made of grafitized foil or carbon-carbon composite. EFFECT: lessened significance of radial component of thermal gradient in directional crystallization of blades with banding flanges developed to a great extent; higher degree of structural quality of castings; elimination of porosity in the region of transition of flange to blade body. 3 cl, 2 dwg
