FIELD: building materials. SUBSTANCE: the process for preparing a composition comprises mixing the composition which includes the following components (the first process), (wt %): 11-13 bitumen; 55-57 rubber crumb; 22-24 fibrous filler (cuttings of metal cord wire); 2.7-3.6; polyethylene waste; 3.6-6.0 placticizer; 1.3-2.2 sulfur. The plasticizer is a plasticizer selected from the group consisting of dibutyl phthalate, dioctyl phthalate and triphenyl phosphate. The process is carried out by first mixing rubber crumb, fibrous filler, polyethylene waste and 38.9-56.7 wt % of the total amount of the plasticizer. The resulting mixture is stirred at 50-60 C for 0.5-1 hr. Bitumen heated to 145-150 is then added for 1.0-1.5 hr, followed by addition of the remaining amount of the plasticizer for 2.0-2.5 hr and the temperature is raised to 195-200 C, and sulfur is thereafter added for 0.2-0.3 hr. The composition components are stirred throughout the composition which comprises the following components (wt %): 6-8 bitumen; 28-36 rubber crumb; 12-24 fibrous filler; 1.7-2.2 polyethylene waste; 1.8-2.8 plasticizer; 0.7-1.5 sulfur and 36.1-43.2 mineral filler. The mineral filler is added together with sulfur in the last stage. The process is similar to that described above (the first process) but differs in that the first portion of the plasticizer is 38.9-39.3% of its total amount.
