FIELD: domestic appliances. SUBSTANCE: electric iron has power supply system, case, movable and fixed parts of handle, iron shoe provided with seats to receive heat-insulating inserts, three safety rods passed through case and seats of iron shoe, safety supports mounted on ends of each rod. Movable and fixed parts of handle are parallel to working surface of iron shoe. Movable part of handle is located between iron shoe and fixed part of handle; it is spring-loaded relative to movable part of handle at points where safety rods are joined to it. Ends of rods are fixed on movable part of handle. Rod located on iron axis is arranged on side of front iron shoe. EFFECT: improved design. 2 dwg
