FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: all sectors corresponding to one of the cylinders of the engine are in the interval between determining its top dead center and determining the top dead center of the next cylinder in accordance with the succession of cylinder operation. This is provided at least with one detonation pickup and one pickup for determining angular position of the crankshaft. The first sector is positioned in the zone of detonation expected. The second sector is position in zone where detonation is absent a fortiori. Intensity of detonation is determined by a relationship available in the invention description. The result obtained is converted to the pulse sequence and the number of pulses is used for determining the magnitude of correction of the advance angle. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy. 3 dwg
