FIELD: producing technetium-99M for medical purposes. SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: separating molybdenum from a sorbent (alumina) by passing through an exhausted column at least 4 times column volume of sulfuric acid of concentration of 1 mol/1 at the speed of 2-2.5 ml/min. This solution is passed through the sorbent on the basis of quaternary-phosphonium base at the speed of 0.25-0.3 ml/min. The sorbent have been preliminarily washed out with sulfuric acid solution and after sorption it is sequentially washed out with water acidified with hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and distilled water. Desorption of molibdenum-98 from quantenary-phosphonium base is carried out with the aid of ammonium nitrate solution of concentration of 1 mol.l containing (0.01-0.05)% of hydrogen peroxide and (8-10) % of aqueous solution of ammonia at elution speed of no greater than 1 ml/min. Then the solution is evaporated, with a concentrated nitric acid added, till molybdenum precipitates. The precipitation is separated from aqueous phase, washed out with water, dried and annealed. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 4 dwg, 3 tbl
