VIBRATING MIXER Russian patent published in 1995 - IPC

FIELD: mixing of liquid phases and suspensions. SUBSTANCE: mixer has housing with unions to let liquid medium pass in and out. Fitted inside housing is rod with spring-loaded inertia mixing members connected with vibrator, and pulse gas feeder connected by suction side to gas space of housing and by delivery side, to liquid space of housing near bottom. Secured on lower end of rod is horizontal circular plate creating dynamic pressure in liquid. Gas delivered in pulsed mode from upper part of housing into its lower part interacts with liquid forming non-linear gas-liquid system tuned for maximum intensity of pulsation. Mechanical oscillatory system formed by spring-loaded inertia members is tuned also to resonance with vibrator frequency. Simultaneous resonance oscillations of mechanical and gas-liquid systems take place in mixer providing high intensity of mass exchange process at mixing. EFFECT: enhanced intensity of mixing. 2 dwg
