FIELD: petroleum chemistry. SUBSTANCE: petroleum distillate fractions were subjected for treatment in the presence of catalyst containing, wt.-%: molybdenum oxide 12-16 involving that added in the form of silicomolybdenic acid 1-6; nickel oxide 4-6; tungsten oxide 1-6, and silicon oxide 0.16-0.20. Preliminary catalyst is activated in nitrogen flow by heating of catalyst layer up to 350 C with intermediate expositions at 120 C, 200 C, and 350 C for 4-6, 2-3, and 4-6 h, respectively up to attainment of molar ratio of nitrogen to molybdenum, tungsten and nickel oxides 8-10 mole/mole following by cooling, sulfidizing and contacting with raw at 320-400 C under pressure 2.7-4.5 MPa.
