FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves injecting dust-coal fuel and hot oxidizing blast into tuyere apparatus of blast furnace and gasifying said dust-coal fuel in tuyere apparatus. Novelty of method resides in that the dust coal fuel is injected in the amount sufficient for reaching the oxygen surplus coefficient within the limits of 0.4-0.5, determining the content and temperature of gas and changing the rate of consumption of dust-coal fuel until the minimum relation of is reached.
