FIELD: pump engineering. SUBSTANCE: driving rotor made up as a cylinder with blades and driven rotor-seal made up as a cylinder with hollows are mounted inside a pressure tight housing. Synchronizing gears are set on the shafts of the rotors. Each seal has one hollow. The diameter of the seal is equal to 0.5- 0.85 of diameter of the driving rotor. The seal consists of two pipes. One of the pipes defines outer surface of the seal. The second pipe defines the hollow. The thickness of the walls of each pipe is chosen because of equilibrium of the seal with respect to the axis of rotation. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 cl, 15 dwg
