FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: the process for manufacturing titanium alloy ingots comprises preparing a blend by compressing consumable electrodes and adding to each blend portion titanium dioxide and aluminium during the compression of the electrode and remelting the electrodes, minus 2 mm fractions being used in the components including 15-20 wt % titanium dioxide and aluminium, the balance. The components are thoroughly stirred and added to each blend portion during compression of the consumable electrode. EFFECT: improved properties of titanium alloy ingots.
