FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method of continuous determination of viscosity and density of liquid includes excitation of oscillations in vibration converter placed into examined liquid, measurement of amplitude of oscillations of vibration converter and determination of viscosity and density by calculation. C-shaped clamp with float anchored between clamp ends on elastic cords is positioned vertically and used as vibration converter. Amplitude of oscillations is determined by difference of harmonic changes of lengths of elastic cords. Device for realization of method has vibration converter placed into examined liquid connected to oscillation generator and units for registration and indication. Elastic cords of converter present loops which internal part is made from current conductive elastic material and shell is manufactured of restoring elastic material. Ends of loops are connected to units for registration and indication. EFFECT: enhanced functional reliability of method and device. 5 cl, 3 dwg
